PULSAR PRO-SERIES d4v41 Pad: How it was made.

High Speed / Medium Base

“I used the same mousepad for years. It just felt right you know. My hand knew it, and mid-game I never had to think about it.

Then it got discontinued. My manager and I spent a long time trying to track down replacements, and over time that got harder and harder.

When I found out my teammates were working with Pulsar, I asked if they could make it. Not just a copy, but bigger, and in my color. They tracked down the original manufacturer, and their R&D team got to work. I sat with them and described exactly what I remembered, and we tested it until it felt right.

This is the result. Bigger, in a color that’s personal to me, and made so I can compete at my best. Now it’s yours too.”

From the R&D Team

“What d4v41 wanted was clear. Actually, making it was the challenge.

This pad is built on a silicone base, hot-press molded with a knit fabric surface pattern. The fabric and silicone are fused together under heat and pressure creating a surface that is hard, fast, and unlike anything other pad in the market. Not cloth, not traditional hard plastic surface. Something in between, with its own distinct feel.

We had two problems to solve.

No one had made this construction in an extra-large size before. The molding process had to be rethought from scratch. And the color he wanted was white, maintaining consistent white through hot-press forming is significantly harder than it sounds.

Neither was easy. But we got it right.

We made exactly what he needed. That's what mattered and we are happy to help the pro player d4v41.”
